Hi Mate,

I’m Ben, the head coach here at EBS, thanks for coming by! I’m honoured.

Growing up, sport and exercise was a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started young, playing all kinds of sports, and even fortunate enough to spend some time playing football in Spain (I was even there when they won the World Cup!). Now, I’ve been lifting weights and training for over 16 years and even won a state-wide bodybuilding competition.

What started as a goal to get stronger and perform better, has now turned into a far larger pursuit: understanding how to train, eat, recover, and live in a way that genuinely improves how you look, feel and function.

I’ve faced challenges with training and nutrition throughout my professional life. Be it when I was a carpenter struggling to get a lunchbreak, a university student whilst working fulltime, entrepreneur, business consultant working extremely long hours across different sites; or even more recently, balancing the above with being a father, it’s tough.

This is why I’ve started Empowered By Science.

I wanted to create the kind of coaching I’d actually want for myself: clear, practical, evidence-led, and built around real life. No extremes. No recycled plans. No pretending everyone needs the same thing.

I take this work seriously, but I also know coaching should feel human. You should feel supported, understood, and confident that the person guiding you actually knows what they’re doing.

Good coaching should feel clear from day one. If you’re after clear guidance, genuine support, and a coach who truly lives this work, you’re in the right place.
